1135-42 the lads are in "our"
red Toppers, 1145+ they are in the Toppers with the red ribbon on the top
of the mast.
They had a great day - even managed one start 1-2-3 (and they were 1, 2 &
4 at the first mark). The other teams were older and concentration was a big
issue for our lads as was "DON'T PANIC!". If they got into trouble
they didn't get out it quickly. BUT they did do more than their share of 360s
and were a lot more competative than some of the older teams - they also showed
no fear on the starts which were quite busy (short line, bouy-shore, 12 boats).
The format was very good - 2 laps, figure of eight (beat, run, beat, reach).
The slower boats were finished at one lap. All over in 20-30 minutes (it was
windy - look at the number over in 1145!) and lots of races with each getting
a chance to race for other teams.
