Not rules... more requests!

This is "your" Sailing Club not "a" Sailing Club and it is run by its members for its members. To keep the club running smoothly (and to keeps costs down) we need your help. A lot of members give up their time to ensure the club runs smoothly and we always welcome new help on any of the club committees - don't wait until the AGM to volunteer! If you can help with running socials, maintaining club boats, cutting the grass or are prepared to keep the wetsuit or buoyancy aid store tidy then just let any committee member know. In the meantime please:

  1. Put club boats and equipment away after use. When you want to use it you will expect to be in the proper place and working! If you find something broken or missing, report it to a club officer so we can fix it.
  2. Tidy up your mess. Wash dirty cups and dishes, clean up crumbs and spilled drinks, throw rubbish away!
  3. Recycle: put glass, cans and paper in the appropriate bins. This will reduce the charge for rubbish collection. Better still, take it home and recycle it there.
  4. Pay for your drinks from the galley. See the price list by the kettle.
  5. Cut the grass around your boat. If you do have some spare time and there is mowing needed, please feel free to mow a wider area!
  6. Perform your club duties. Arrange a swap if the allotted date isn't suitable. You will expect someone to be safety officer when you want to sail — so please return the favour.
  7. Don't forget to take all your belongings home. You'd be amazed how much valuable sailing clothes gets left behind and never claimed.
  8. Attend at least one working party each year.
  9. Remember: Last one out turns off the power and locks up!
